A unique partnership has emerged in the fashion world, combining the design prowess of BEAMS and Levi's with the textile expertise of Loopwheeler. This collaboration stands out as a particularly well-suited endeavor, moving beyond mere novelty to create a collection that resonates with enthusiasts of comfortable, vintage-inspired American style. The inclusion of Loopwheeler, a Japanese brand celebrated for its traditional loopwheeled cotton fabric, elevates this collection to a new level of craftsmanship and comfort. Their use of rare Tsuriakami machines, in operation since the 1920s in Wakayama, Japan, produces a fabric known as Tsuriami – exceptionally soft, comfortable, and incredibly durable, reminiscent of the finest vintage sweatshirts.

Despite the inherent rarity of Tsuriami fabric, produced slowly and with minimal tension on specialized machinery, this collaboration makes it more accessible. The long-standing allies, BEAMS and Levi's, have reimagined classic designs using this exquisite material, resulting in the "Super Wide Trucker" jacket and "Super Wide Pant," accompanied by a coordinating bandana. Offered in deep navy and heather gray, these pieces blend familiar silhouettes with the unique drape and feel of Tsuriami. The Super Wide Pant features a traditional five-pocket design with a relaxed fit, while the Super Wide Jacket reinterprets the classic trucker style, incorporating elements that evoke the comfort of a cardigan or hoodie.

This exclusive collection, while not intended as direct substitutes for your everyday jeans or a cherished vintage denim jacket, offers a distinct and high-quality alternative. The initial launch begins on October 17 at select BEAMS stores in Japan, followed by a global release on October 22 through Levi.com and various Levi's retail locations. Finally, the collection will be available on the BEAMS America website starting October 23. Given the artisanal nature of the Tsuriami fabric and its limited production, those interested in acquiring these unique pieces are encouraged to act promptly.

This innovative collaboration showcases the power of combining heritage craftsmanship with modern design. By bringing together diverse expertise, these brands have created a collection that is not only stylish but also deeply rooted in quality and tradition. It reminds us that true value often lies in the meticulous details and the pursuit of excellence, offering consumers products that are both meaningful and enduring.
