Lake Charles Prepares for the Upcoming Rouge et Blanc Wine and Food Festival

Instructions

Set to take place in October, the prestigious Rouge et Blanc wine and food festival in Lake Charles is generating excitement among enthusiasts. Tickets for this significant fundraiser supporting McNeese’s Banners Cultural Series will be available later this month. The event celebrates its 20th year with a unique theme encouraging attendees to embrace their western spirit. Guests can look forward to sampling an extensive selection of wines alongside delectable offerings from top local restaurants.

This year's edition of Rouge et Blanc is scheduled for October 11, marking two decades since its inception. To honor this milestone, organizers have decided to start the festivities an hour later than last year’s timing. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting June 15 at 6 a.m., priced at $135 per person. The event will unfold in the Quad at McNeese State University from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., offering participants ample time to savor the diverse culinary delights and fine wines.

The "Cowboy Up!" theme invites everyone to don their finest western outfits while contributing to McNeese State University's cultural programs. Attendees will enjoy approximately 200 different types of wine along with gourmet dishes prepared by renowned chefs from over 20 premier local eateries. Newcomers such as Augustines add fresh flavors to the lineup, ensuring a memorable experience for all who attend.

Beyond the culinary attractions, private ticket sales are already underway for those holding Imbiber status due to prior wine orders. This initiative allows dedicated supporters early access to secure their spots before public availability. With coffee, juice, and dessert vendors rounding out the offerings, there will be something for every palate at Rouge et Blanc.

As anticipation builds for this annual celebration of wine, food, and community spirit, Rouge et Blanc promises another exceptional gathering. By bringing together connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike, the event not only funds important cultural initiatives but also strengthens ties within the local community. Whether you're drawn by the promise of exquisite cuisine or the allure of fine wines, this festival offers a delightful way to support education through entertainment.
